Planning Your Attack: Black Friday Preparation Guide

Planning Your Attack

Are you ready to start planning your attack on Black Friday? Thursday is going to be a very big day. Not only is it Thanksgiving but the Black Friday inserts arrive in the paper. This is the day I sit down and start circling everything I want for Christmas and decide my plan of attack. This year has actually been better for Pre-Black Friday sales. I am almost done with all of my shopping because retailers decided to offer good deals a week early.

If you just love Black Friday shopping then here are few preparation ideas to help you survive the crowds, get the best prices and live to tell about it.

Black Friday Preparation – Planning Your Attack

  • Review the inserts. You may have seen inserts online, but take a peek at your Thursday paper and know what you are shopping for.
  • Take the inserts with you. You may stumble upon a fabulous deal you didn’t notice in the ad and need to price match that offer with another store.
  • Bring your coupons, store discounts, shoppers card. Just bring it all.
  • Know the hour each store opens. Most of them are open on Thanksgiving starting at 8 PM. Friday morning 6 AM.
  • Dress appropriately. Look at the weather forecast the night before.
  • Plan a route. Visit the stores in order of closest driving distance from your house to avoid wasting time and gas.
  • Bring a buddy (or two). Four hands are better than two to grab your items.
  • Bring snacks. Shopping makes me hungry and sometimes it is hard to grab a bite when you are loading the cart.
  • Get a good night’s sleep. If you are a 6 AM shopper get a good night’s sleep.
